Moarrh post-it note poetry–Love

Ok I’m at work today so this is a scheduled post. Feel free to comment critique etc. The ide behind the post-it note poetry thang is for the poet to not be constrained, to not have too much attachment, to not worry too much about getting it perfect but just enjoying letting the words flow.

So without further ado I give you Love. (and yes I still don’t have post-its)

Love

Love.
A heart made,
hand made thing, of quiet looks,
selfless actions, and needed things,
unasked for

I'm enamoured with it the more I read it... the more there is in there... the deeper it goes. I can't wait to see your handwritten ones.

Do work places even have post-it notes these days, waiting in the stationery cupboard to find new homes abroad of the workplace?

I can see me going out a getting a block and posting them out to my bestest poetry writing buddies :)

Oh... and what I really wanted to comment on: that love is not flashy, it doesn't say look at me... it is a quiet thing that speaks so loudly!

Have added the hand written one above - i used to have quite a nice print hand *sigh*.

My laptop at work breeds post-it I am sure.

Your hand writing rocks!

I think it's sad we're so reliant now on digital forms of communication. Our handwriting is one of those ways of identifying ourselves and each other, a unique everyday manner of self expression (just in the style of the handwriting). Which is why I now find it strange to do my capital printing (I can write in three different styles!) as it now just looks like Ella-Louise's handwriting.

I had the good fortune to be taught about 3 different styles of cursive, which means my cursive hand is a mongrel. I did really like to print though and I like to do different scripts. But now of course everything is at your fingertips.

You comment about EL's handwriting is interesting as a bit of method writing, getting into the characters frame of mind.
