Continuum Bound

c10coverTH

It’s getting closer and I am trying out this year, the novel idea of contracting an illness before I get to the Convention as opposed to contracting con lurgy.

I will be appearing at a couple of places and on a couple of panels so friends and readers who are going to the convention feel free to come and say hi.  Otherwise I will be floating around trying to interview folks for Galactic Chat.

Where I will be:

The launch of  Stars like Sand Poetry Anthology

Friday 18:00-20:00 at Collected Works Bookshop, Level I, 37 Swanston St Melbourne

with: P.S. Cottier, Tim Jones, Sean Williams, Alan Stewart, Jenny Blackford, Earl Livings, and Simon Petrie.

Speculative Poetry: Strange Lines

Saturday 14:00-15:00 in The Hall of Mirrors with:  P.S. Cottier, Tim Jones, Jenny Blackford

How To Make a Podcast

Sunday 16:00-17:00 in The Big top with: Alan Baxter, Kirstyn McDermott, Terry Frost, Alex Pierce

The full programme can be found here.

Continuum X – Start saving

Continuum-X-Poster

I received a lovely email from the Continuum crew this morning, announcing that next year’s convention website (the 53rd Annual Natcon) is up and running - you can see it here.

I quite like the carnival theme they have.  So many cosplay opportunities to be had.  The guest line up is good too - Jim C Hines our international act is good value and its great to see Ambelin Kwaymullina (hailing from the Palyku people of the Pilbara region) as our local guest of honour.

I also checked out their harassment policy which you can find here.

Although it’s a way off yet, I find myself eagerly anticipating it.

At Continuum

This post comes to you via my phone. Currently I am enjoying Melbourne's weather by staying out of it.

I'm sorting through the various panels trying to figure out what specfic goodness to sample.

Events don't kick off for awhile though so I am doing my best to sample Melbourne coffee.

Not sure on free wifi availability so live tweeting may be curtailed but I hope to bring you some daily reports.

Sean.
