Cover Candy - Mourning cloak by Rabia Gale

Mourning CloakMourning Cloak is the latest work to spring from the mind of Rabia Gale, a real diamond in the rough when it comes to self published authors.

I can count the number of self pubbed authors that I would shell out money for without question and Rabia would be one of them.

Of course she has a wonderful support crew. Her sister in law does the covers, her husband does the ebook formatting and her beta readers include the likes of Jo Anderston.

She’s so good I think we should import her as per the long recognised Australian trait of claiming overseas talent as our own.

So if you are looking for quality, originality and entertainment to fill up your reader checkout Rabia’s work.

Thanks for the shout-out, Sean! Did want to clear up one thing: The covers for Mourning Cloak and Rainbird are done by cover artist Ravven. I don't *always* use my family as cheap labor. ;)

My husband and I have talked half-seriously about moving to Australia. But perhaps we should visit first, before taking such a drastic step. I've heard about the snakes...

Oh the snakes are nothing to worry about. We'll all look after you. Join us. JOIN US! *hypnotic stare*
Yes. JOIN US o.0
Is that a hypnotic snake-like stare?

;)
If it works it is :)
Oooops. Sorry thought Ravven and your sister were one and the same. My apologies.

Australia is big, I'm sure we can find relatively safe location to house you, away from nasty spiders snakes and vegetation.

Note to self: stop tweeting about having to kill venomous snakes with garden shovel. :D
No problem. My sister-in-law is Robin (all those R names, I know) and she does my website. I sort of twisted her arm to do the covers for Shattered, Wired, and Unseen, seeing as how I have no Photoshop skills to speak of.

Are you the one the who posted pics of crushed snake remains? O.o
Don't believe I have posted pics. Don't like to have to kill them but sometimes we don't have the choice :(
It's them or my cats which seem to have an instinctive drive to corner said snakes and get bit - last vet bill cost $800.
Ouch! (For both the bite to the cat and the bite to your wallet!)
Come live in Brisbane. We have snakes but the only ones I've seen in my yard are non-venomous green tree snakes. Our problem is big spiders... but they aren't really venomous, unlike the funnelwebs you get in Sydney ;) .

But there's fire ants in Brisbane isn't there? I say come to South Australia, best wines :)
Pfft. They're just ants! ;)

In all seriousness I've never seen one. If I was free to move anywhere in Aus I'd be in Tassie in a heartbeat.
Actually Tassie would probably match Northern Virginia in climate
Perfect! There you go Rabia, all sorted ;) .
I'm just waiting for you to provide me with a house and a stipend. ;)

No you have to come to Sydney. I get first dibs!
She's right. I wouldn't want to annoy my best beta-reader.

Bwahahaha!
Hmm maybe we should pass the hat around :D
I need to provide myself with those first!
