Library Loot November 24 - 30 The Book Thief

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post, then link and post on the host blog - this weeks it's at the Captive Reader.

The Book ThiefThis week's only piece of loot is the audio book of Marcus Zusak's, The Book Thief read by Dennis Olsen.  I had heard of The Book Thief in passing, but after the rave reviews it received on the Writer and the Critic I just had to borrow it.

All book copies of the Book Thief were lent out so I settled for the audio book. I have only listened to the first couple of tracks and I must say two things.  First Dennis Olsen, a perfect choice for he reading.  Second, I love the character Death.

I haven't read The Book Thief (yet) but I've only heard great things about it!

Enjoy your loot!

Same here and thankfully The Writer and the Critic were able to make it sound enticing without spoiling :)
I thought I was the only one who hadn't read The Book Thief yet - it's been on my list all year but I still haven't got to it. Glad you're enjoying it.

Having it as an audiobook means I will get to it quicker as I do a lot of driving.
I'm glad to hear that such a great book has a narrator that enhances the story! Good narrators are key to being able to enjoy audio books.
The Book Theif is on my TBR list. I'm hoping to get to it when I start the "Off the Shelf Challenge" in January. Hope you enjoy!

Got my loot up if you care to check it out...
I can spell....really. Make that "Thief"....
Such a good read! And yes, Death is a great character.

Enjoy your loot.
