Sherlock Holmes–Game of Shadows

It’s not traditional Holmes, but I must admit I do like Downey Jnr.’s take on him and the style in which it’s filmed. And it has Noomi Rapace.

This comes out in the States in a couple of days.  Those of us living in Australia will have to wait until January 5th for the Steamboats or Zeppelins to transport the film canisters over.

This film looks fantastic! Robert Downy Jr. and Jude Law are have both become such talented actors. That preview is so long--I hope they didn't just show all the best snippets. That was PACKED with action and some good lines, too!

Lol, yes it is long. I also like the actor they have playing Moriarty - but can't remember his name.

I'm not very familiar with this actor, although I have seen a handful of films on his resumé.

Yeah he's a midlist movie actor that seems to pop up every now and then
You know after reading my first Holmes book, what delighted me is that the Robert Downey Jr take on him is actually very close to what I think Conan Doyle inteded. In the books, Holmes is actually a very self absorbed, single minded, dry witted, genius type with self destructive traits. I can't wait to see the new film.

Apparently its high action but not too much deductive reasoning. I think Downey Jr. probably displays a little too much flair for my reading of Holmes. It has been ages since I have read a lot of Holmes in one sitting though.
